As a part of our team, you will collaborate with passionate and seasoned scientists in a fast-paced environment, where innovation and teamwork are core values. Together, we are dedicated to pioneering new technologies and platforms to advance the next generation of therapeutic antibodies, targeting diverse molecules and pathways. With a commitment to tackling diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases, we aim to make a tangible impact on human health while also driving down the cost of biotherapeutics.
We are seeking a creative and collaborative Scientist or Sr. Scientist to join the Protein Engineering Group.
You will manage the scientific, strategic, and operational aspects of protein design, optimization and functional characterization. This includes designing, planning, and executing the generation and characterization of immunogens and antibodies. Collaboration is key to this role, involving close collaborations with team members in Biology and Biopharmaceutical Groups, as well as with external partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Protein Biophysics, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or MSc with 5+ years of protein engineering experience, ideally focusing on bispecific therapeutics.
- Experience in protein structure-function analyses, computational modeling and molecular visualization (e.g., AlphaFold, MOE, Rosetta, PyMOL) and lab-based protein engineering, e.g. phage/yeast display is desirable.
- Proven ability to apply structural insights to improve therapeutic properties, including binding affinity, function, and developability. Individuals with strong publication records are encouraged to apply.
- Laboratory experience in protein expression, purification, and quality assessment.
- Familiarity with biophysical characterization techniques (e.g., analytical SEC, DSF, DLS) and binding and interaction analyses (e.g., Octet, BLI, SPR).
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional program leadership, especially in fast-paced environments, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven experience using scientific, technical, and functional knowledge to assist in experiment/ project design to enable the team to meet protein engineering goals.
- Proven experience providing training on innovative methods and procedures to junior scientists
- Experience in neurogenerative diseases & inflammation biology research is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead or support efforts to develop and optimize the design and production of therapeutic mAb, including bispecific antibodies and fusion proteins.
- Leverage state of art bioinformatic and AI-based tools to perform structure and sequence analysis of antibody-antigen interactions, design and execute experiments to improve antibody binding affinity, stability, specificity, and manufacturability.
- Engage in antibody discovery and engineering using yeast display.
- Coordinate closely with Biopharmaceutical Group to ensure high-quality protein expression, purification, and biophysical characterization of complex biologics and antigens.
- Lead cross-functional programs and act as a Protein Engineering leader, deliver on engineering goals, help organize cross-functional experiments, and ensure alignment on objectives, timelines, and resources across different groups.
- Regularly summarize and present data to internal and external stakeholders to support informed decision-making to advance programs.
